TechHeroes Program

The TechHeroes Program utilizes technology and the valuable asset of youth as teachers to connect seniors with the world of the information age, the Internet. The goal of The Heroic Imagination TechHeroes Program is to connect youth and seniors through access to technology, increasing their connection with the world, their loved ones and a wealth of knowledge, including the Hero Pledge and Challenge.

Student Service Learning Partnerships

The success of the program during the pilot phase was the high schools students who provided critical support, mentoring and numerous volunteer hours. It has been a benefit to the student in that they can participate in a program locally that uses technology as the medium to connect which the students appreciate because they understand technology. One of the best aspects is how the generations connect using technology as a tool for discussion, problem solving and entertainment. During the two year pilot program we have logged over 2000 volunteer hours in support of the TechHeroes Pilot Program from June 2010-June 2012.
